Developed by Dr. Bruce Crawford, MD
Board Certified Uro-Gynecologist
For Pelvic Floor Assessment and Exercise Training.
Through the VESy Lab protocols we will determine the exercises you need to properly engage and strengthen your pelvic floor. When the VESy Lab is used to identify a client’s “best 3 movements” the advantage over Kegels goes up to 75%.
The VESy Lab is the final step in the development of a cutting edge pelvic floor neuromuscular training center. The VESy Lab provides real time video imaging to assist you in activating the pelvic floor, as well as the other muscles that support the pelvic floor, such as the inner thighs, gluteals and abdominal muscles.
Pelvic floor disorders are absolutely epidemic. Stress Urinary Incontinence, overactive bladder, women sexual dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse or prolapsed bladder, and fecal incontinence are so commonplace they are often regarded as the inevitable consequences of childbirth and aging.
Dr. Crawford states, “although trained as a surgeon, I have come to regard these disorders as principally neuromuscular disorders deserving of a neuromuscular solution.” Using Pilates exercises based on extensive EMG recordings taken from the pelvic floor, VESy was created to provide a widely accessible method of recovering or enhancing pelvic floor strength.
Lakeshore Pilates is pleased to bring the VESy Lab program to Michigan.
Work with our VESy Professionals and leave feeling confident and empowered!
Please note, the Vesy Lab and Pelvic Floor program at the studio is in no way designed to replace Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy. Once therapy is complete, our program is a great continuation and maintenance program to reinforce the gains made with therapy.
