Heather has over twenty years of medically based exercise experience. She holds under graduate and graduate degrees in exercise and movement science. For her Master of Science degree, she obtained an additional special graduate certificate in Corrective Exercise and Post Rehabilitation. Currently, Heather is pursuing a clinically based PhD program. Prior to opening Lakeshore Pilates in 2003, she worked in the medical field as an Exercise Physiologist in Cardiac Rehab, a Clinical Coordinator for a coronary health improvement program, and a Health Educator. In addition to her educational degrees, she has multiple certifications and/or training in medical exercise, muscle testing, corrective exercise, activation techniques, pelvic floor exercise, performance enhancement, pre/post natal fitness, and Pilates. Heather completed an intensive internship at the Center for Pelvic Floor Medicine in Nevada and is honored to be on their faculty assisting with trainings domestically and abroad. She is also the director of education and master teacher for The Pilates School of Michigan.
Dani has her BFA in Dance Performance and began her Pilates journey through dance as a tool for injury prevention and rehabilitation. In 2015, Dani completed her Pilates training through McEntire Pilates and is a Pilates Method Alliance fully certified teacher. In addition to Pilates, Dani holds certifications in Bellicon, Pfilates Pelvic Floor Strengthening, and Brain/Body Fitness. When she’s not teaching full time at Lakeshore Pilates as the studio’s lead teacher, she teaches classical ballet at local dance studios.
Lee began her Pilates journey in 2011 after her third dismissal from physical therapy for a hip injury. She credits Pilates (and Heather) with allowing her to play tennis, power walk, and travel. Once her nest was empty, she decided to share her love of Pilates by taking the McEntire Pilates training program in 2015. A Pilates Method Alliance fully certified teacher, Lee also holds certifications in Bellicon and Pfilates Pelvic Floor Strengthening, as well as a BFA in Art. When not galavanting around the globe, she loves to read, blog, bounce, SUP, bike, and be Gigi to her grandson.
Jill is a former K-8 school teacher who started as a student at Lakeshore Pilates in 2003 and found Pilates to be the most effective way of dealing with back, posture, and strength issues. She completed her training through Lakeshore Pilates, is certified by Pilates Method Alliance, and works with clients on the full variety of Pilates equipment.
Audrey completed her Pilates training program through Lakeshore Pilates and the Physical Mind Institute, which encompasses over 500 hours of instruction, observation, and hands on teaching and a fully certified member of the Pilates Method Alliance. She has been a student for over a decade and brings with her an understanding of the learning curve with Pilates.
After countless miles of distance running, Vicki was looking for a new way to engage her mind and body in wellness. Lakeshore Pilates offered an opportunity to become stronger and more flexible in an instructive and supportive environment. After being a diligent Pilates student for many years, she embarked on the Lakeshore Pilate teacher training course. With her Pilates Method Alliance certification, Vicki’s goal is to enable her peers to be strong and age gracefully.
